Nectarine Galette: a BBQ Dessert {sponsored}

Your BBQ can be used for more than just meat and veggies. You can even roast some delicious desserts like this nectarine galette. Use a pizza stone like thePizza Stone & Trayfrom Weber Grill. The roasted nectarine galette topped with sour cream ice cream is the perfect guilt free summer dessert! Are you a sweet tooth? You’re gonna love it then, I promise! JJust look how easy it is to prepare this little dessert! Don’t forget to prepare the ice cream first and heat up your BBQ with the pizza stone on it to a temperature of 240°C. The best thing is to use a gas barbecue, as you can regulate the heat with it. I use the Weber Q2200gas barbecue. Never put the stone on the grill afterwards because it may crack due to the high degree of heat difference. Recipe Inspiration Ice Cream: sour cream, Greek yoghurt, honey Short-crust pastry for 4 galettes: 170g flour (a mix of almond flour, oat flour and flaxseed flour) a pinch of sea salt 2 tbs honey …

Guilt free starwberry tarts

Summer is a combination of sun, swimming and lots of berries. I could eat them all day long. They’re so beautiful, colorful, vitamin packed and super tasty. So, what’s better for a light summer dessert? As I don’t eat processed sugar, this dessert is (as usually on my blog :)) totally guilt free. It’s a high fiber tart pastry, yoghurt cream and berry topping. You can literally eat them for breakfast. Recipe inspiration Pastry: flaxseed flour, oat flour, almond flour, coconut oil, flaxseed egg, pinch of sea salt, little bit of Marple sirup Hint: flaxseed egg is flaxseed swelled in some water. As I don’t like to have the whole grains in the pastry, I puree the „egg“ before adding it to the pastry Cream: Greek yoghurt, vanilla, cardamom, pistachio finely ground, lemon peel Topping: strawberries, vanilla, pistachio roughly chopped Mix all the ingredients of the pastry to a firm dough. Then dummy-bake the tarts at 180 C until golden brown. I always bake some more tarts as I need at the moment, so I have …

cuajada spanish dessert curd

Cuajada – Spanish Dessert

Last year we traveled around in Spain during three weeks. I was an amazing road trip with lots of new impressions and new food. By chance we found a small sheep cheese farm with a small store. We bought some cheese and a so called Cuajada. And I fall for it with the first bite! Cuajada is actually just cheese curd – something I thought is quite gross. But it really isn’t. It looks and taste similar to panda cotta, but with half as much fat. You don’t put it on a plate like panda cotta, you just eat it out of the glass with some honey or whatever you like. And the best: it’s so easy and simple to make: warm some sheep’s milk up to 37 °C (98,6 °F), put the needed amount rennet in it and blend with a spoon gently just for some seconds. Don’t move the milk to much! Put the milk in small glasses and wait for 10 minutes. But don’t move the glass at all, I really mean it. You may …

It is so healthy, you could even eat it for breakfast. I do sometimes :-). For a nice crunch I add some taco nips to the ice cream. Yummy!
