Since I first ate a great coconut chia pudding in Thailand two years ago, I’m in love with this pudding. But it is not that easy to make such a great one. It’s all about the coconut milk. If the milk is too creamy the pudding is fattening and has a fatty taste. If the milk ist mixed with coconut water it taste watery and wired. After trying a lots of different coconut milks I finally got a great one: coconut rice milk from alpro. The only bad thing about this milk, it contains admixture. But it’s the only one with a perfect taste. So I make an exception from time to time. INGREDIENTS Chia pudding: chia seeds, coconut milk, vanilla Ice cream: frozen mango, frozen banana, coconut milk Topping: granola, blueberry, cacao nips
Summer finally arrived in Switzerland! I need something ice cold, like ice cream but healthy. That’s why I am a huge fan of nice cream (=nice (and healthy) ice cream). It is so healthy, you could even eat it for breakfast. I do sometimes :-). For a nice crunch I add some taco nips to the ice cream. Yummy! Here I made some oriental cones with chickpea flour and a slight taste of cardamom. They are not as healthy as the ice cream but anyways they look so pretty and taste so good. I love to decorate the cones with chocolate and pistachio trimming. And the best about this ice cream: Unfrozen it is a super delicious chocolate pudding! INGREDIENTS Chocolate Nice Cream: avocado, banana, caco powder, soaked dates, soaked cashew nuts, caco nips, vanilla, agave syrup, almond milk Cones: chickpea flour, butter, sea salt, powder sugar, egg withe, vanilla, cardamom. Trimming: chocolate, pistachio
Smoothie Bowls are so perfect for breakfast and a great start in the day. They ares so easy and quick to make.My new smoothie bowl star is the chocolate espresso smoothie bowl: looks like dessert, taste incredible good and is even healthy! INGREDIENTS Smoothie Bowl: banana, almond milk, raw cacao powder, ground coffee, espresso Topping: pomegranate, cacao nips, pistachio, espresso
A superfood breakfast gives you everything you need. I am actually not really a fan of green smoothies, but this matcha kale smoothie bowl is much more than just healthy. It has a perfect fresh and light sweet taste. See for oneself! All the green veggies are superfoods because of the big amount of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll defends, nurtures, vitalizes and cures. And in this smoothie bowl are even two green superfoods. INGREDIENTS: Smoothie Bowl: Matcha, kale, banana, almond milk, vanilla Topping: pomegranate, cacao nips, coconut flakes, pecan, vanilla
I just acquire a taste for smoothie bowls. This won’t be the last post about smoothie bowls, promised! What is better than a creamy fruity and healthy breakfast? Just the energy boost you need in the morning. You can almost combine everything respectively what ever you have at home: Fruits, nuts, greens, superfoods… Today I’m going for a açai smoothie bowl. Açai is super healthy and you can buy it as a freeze-dried powder. So whenever you are in the mood for some açai you have some and you don’t have to worry about the storage life. To get the smoothie bowl creamy I use bananas oder chia seeds or both of it. Maca powder thickens the smoothie as well a little bit. INGREDIENTS: Smoothie Bowl: Açai powder freez-dried, almond milk, banana, blueberry, vanilla. Topping: Strawberry, pistachio, vanilla, cacao nips
Who doesn’t love chocolate? When I found this great matcha chocolate recipe from Fitness and Food I couldn’t resist! Life is just so much better with chocolate, right? And the best: this chocolate is not even a sin. It’s made of good and more or less just healthy ingredients. I was so excited about the matcha one, so I created two other chocolate versions: raspberry and brown chocolate. With the individual topping the chocolates gets really special and super tasty. So give it a try! Ingredients: cacao butter and almond butter (same amount), agave syrup, vanilla, taste like raspberry powder, cacao powder or matcha. Topping: cacao nips, chopped almonds, dried berries, dried flowers, chia… what ever you like!
